"C'est La Vie" is the debut single by Irish girl group B*Witched, from their first album B*Witched. The single reached number one in Ireland and the United Kingdom in May 1998, as well as the top ten in numerous other countries including the United States, where it reached number nine on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. The song remains by far and above the biggest single of their career in the UK and Ireland - in the UK it spent a fortnight at the top, with a further 7 weeks in the top 10, and was the 5th biggest selling single of 1998, and in Ireland the song spent six weeks at the summit.

Some of the lyrics in the song are suggestive double entendres (e.g. "I'll Show You Mine, If You Show Me Yours") although some meanings mean "showing a house". The song is an upbeat bubblegum pop track infused with a pop version of Irish traditional music. The video features the girls dancing in a field covered in psychedelic flowers with a puppy and playfully teasing a hapless teenage boy. The song was nominated in 1999 for the "Best Song Musically and Lyrically" Ivor Novello songwriting award.[1]

A number of television programs have featured the song, including Disney Channel Original Movies Smart House and Life-Size, Dawson's Creek (as background music) and Hollyoaks Later. The song also featured in the film 'What Women Want'. The Brazilian pop group Rouge did a cover in Portuguese.
